The Pinnacle ships as a kit. You get the cedar barrel staves, end walls, benches, door frame, glass door, stainless steel banding hardware, and all fasteners. What you don't get: the heater, rocks, or electrical. Plan on those separately.
Build Quality
The cedar is the real story. Almost Heaven uses rustic red cedar — meaning it has natural character marks and knots, as opposed to clear-grade (knot-free) cedar. Some buyers expect pristine wood and are surprised by the natural variation. That's normal. Rustic cedar performs identically to clear-grade; it just looks more natural and weathered over time.
The staves fit together well. Tongue-and-groove joints are clean and consistent. Stainless steel banding keeps everything tight without rust issues even after years of outdoor use. The glass door is solid — double-pane, properly sealed, no flex in the frame.
One thing worth noting: the wall thickness at ~1.75 inches is on the thinner side compared to premium competitors. In moderate climates this is fine. In extreme cold (below -10°F regularly), you'll want a more powerful heater than the minimum recommended size to compensate.
Assembly Experience
Two adults, 4–6 hours. The process isn't complicated — it's methodical. Staves slot together in a sequence, the banding tightens around the outside, end walls lock in, benches mount to the walls. The rubber mallet does more work than any power tool.
