Almost Heaven barrel saunas: choose by dimensions, not capacity
Reviewed August 15, 2026 — Backyard Sauna Pro
Representative barrel sauna; model details must come from the current product page and manual.
Almost Heaven now sells many configurable barrel models. The old shortcut of calling one model the universal "best buy" misses the expensive parts of the decision: usable bench length, heater and controls, circuit, foundation, freight, offload, weather package, and the exact door and window configuration.
Pick a size class first. Then compare the actual configuration that will arrive.

Pinnacle 4-Person
Use the current listing to confirm the configured lumber, door, window, heater, controls, stones, freight, lead time, and warranty. The displayed capacity does not establish four-adult comfort.

Kenova 4-6 Person
The dealer listing expands the room and heater package. Verify bench dimensions, configured load, electrical service, foundation, weather protection, and offload before treating it as the better group option.
What changed from older buying advice
The heater is configuration-specific
Current product pages show selectable heater packages. Do not budget from an old claim that every room kit excludes the heater. Confirm exactly what the selected checkout option includes.
List prices are not durable comparison data
Prices, promotions, freight, controls, windows, lumber, and heater packages change. Compare the complete configured project on the same day rather than carrying a fixed 2025 price into the decision.
Capacity is not comfort
Use bench length and width, the actual users, heater and door positions, and the desired seated or reclining posture. A maximum capacity label is not a promise of personal space.
Assembly is a project variable
Manual scope, foundation readiness, crew, tools, weather, delivery, configuration, and experience all affect timing. Review the current manual before scheduling a one-day build.
Seven checks before checkout
- Bench fit: compare published bench dimensions with the actual users and intended posture.
- Selected package: capture the exact lumber, door, windows, heater, controls, stones, accessories, and model revision.
- Site and foundation: follow the current manual and site-specific structural, drainage, frost, and anchoring requirements.
- Electrical: have a qualified electrician confirm heater, controls, lighting, circuit, panel capacity, disconnects, and permit needs.
- Freight and offload: verify crate or pallet details, curbside obligations, appointment, access, storage, damage inspection, and return process.
- Weather exposure: identify the exterior treatment, roof or rain protection, drainage, snow and wind needs, and maintenance schedule for the selected model.
- Warranty responsibility: confirm who supports the room, heater, controls, freight damage, missing parts, and replacement components.
Current KIP60B research path
The Harvia KIP60B remains a current 6kW, 240VAC, single-phase heater with built-in controls. It is not automatically correct for every barrel or configuration. Use the selected room volume, glass and uninsulated surfaces, climate, current manual, controls, and electrical design.

FAQ
Which model should I compare first?
Start with the bench length, exterior dimensions, users, heater package, circuit, delivery, and foundation. The size class should follow those needs.
Does the sauna include a heater?
Current pages show selectable heater configurations. Confirm the exact checkout package, controls, stones, electrical needs, and warranty.
How many adults fit?
Measure comfort from the published benches and actual users. Treat the capacity label as a maximum, not a comfort rating.
How long does assembly take?
It varies. Review the current manual and account for site preparation, configuration, crew, tools, weather, and delivery.
